Each year, the Department of Public Policy and Administration recognizes outstanding scholarship by a Public Affairs doctoral student with the Doctoral Student Manuscript Award. This award is only open to pre-qualified students who have not yet passed their qualifying examination (including the dissertation proposal defense).
The nominated paper may have been written for a class, but it must be one the student is working on under the supervision of a faculty member for scholarly presentation or publication. The award will be presented at the DPPA end-of-year reception in early May, and carries a cash prize of $250. The winner will present the paper at the Department’s Brown Bag Seminar in the fall 2021 semester.
Deadline for submissions is March 6, 2021.
