Mission 2: Expand knowledge by conducting and disseminating effective theoretical and applied research on diverse policy and management issues that influences the state of knowledge and quality of life.This reflects the Department’s position in a research university with membership in the Association of American Universities.
- Goal 1: To conduct and disseminate scholarly research on public policy and administration that contributes to the knowledge base of scholars and practitioners.
- Goal 2: To provide applied policy and management research support to the Delaware Valley, particularly to the State of New Jersey, its governmental subdivisions, and nonprofit organizations performing public and human service, and to the US government and international organizations. This research is conducted by the Department’s faculty and students and by its Forum for Policy Research and Public Service, the Senator Walter Rand Institute of Public Affairs, and the Center for Strategic Urban Community Leadership.
