and Childhood Studies.She holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Missouri-St. Louis; a Master of Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University; and a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Oklahoma with a major in public administration and minors in public policy and comparative politics. She served as the Director of the Forum for Policy Research and Public Service in the Spring semester 2000. Dr. Mareschal's primary teaching responsibilities are in human resource management, organizational behavior, labor-management relations, conflict resolution, ethics, and research methods. Her research interests include: conflict resolution, personnel/labor relations, organizational behavior, and public policy. Her most current research projects examine federal mediators' roles in resolving labor disputes, the use of technology in conflict resolution, school- and community-based youth violence programs, and emerging developments in home health care policy. She has published in the American Review of Public Administration, International Journal of Public Administration, Advances in Industrial and Labor Relations, the Journal of Public Affairs Education, Urban Affairs Review, and Review of Public Personnel Administration. In addition to her academic training, Dr. Mareschal has extensive professional work experience in organizational consulting, human resource management, training and development, and labor relations. She has worked for both public and private sector employers including the National Labor Relations Board, Ford Motor Company, and Andersen Consulting. She is a member of the American Society for Public Administration and the Industrial Relations Research Association.
