Some of Dr. Brenner’s publications include: Dígame! Policy and Politics on the Texas Border; “Women and Work: Female Labor Force Participation on the Border” in Society and Politics on the Border; “Developing Labor Force Preparedness as a Response to Major Job Loss: Government, Business and Education as Partners” in International Journal of Economic Development and “ Higher Education’s Role as Small Business Resource” in Midwestern Business and Economic Review. Current research projects include a study of local government responsiveness to the changing national demographics in the new Latino destinations, and an investigation of how local governments are using information technology to maintain budget transparency.
