Christine Thurlow Brenner
(Ph.D., University of Texas at Arlington)

Dr. Christine Thurlow Brenner, who received her doctorate in Urban and Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington, is an assistant professor of Public Policy and Administration at Rutgers-Camden. Dr. Brenner teaches graduate classes in public budgeting, financial management and economic development.

Some of Dr. Brenner’s publications include: Dígame! Policy and Politics on the Texas Border; “Women and Work: Female Labor Force Participation on the Border” in Society and Politics on the Border; “Developing Labor Force Preparedness as a Response to Major Job Loss: Government, Business and Education as Partners” in International Journal of Economic Development and Higher Education’s Role as Small Business Resource” in Midwestern Business and Economic Review. Current research projects include a study of local government responsiveness to the changing national demographics in the new Latino destinations, and an investigation of how local governments are using information technology to maintain budget transparency.
