On April 22, 2013, “The Challenge of Camden, The Challenge for America” conference hosted by the Rutgers-Camden Center for Urban Research and Education (CURE), attracted hundreds of students, faculty and Camden community residents and officials to hear experts on urban poverty and racial inequality discuss ideas for solving some of the nation’s urban ills.
David Foster, president of Cooper’s Ferry Partnership, and recently back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan as a member of the NJ National Guard, spoke on “How Rebuilding Our Cities Can Teach Us How to Win Wars,” on Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Rutgers-Camden, Armitage Hall, 3rd Floor Faculty Lounge.
