ACCREDITATION

The MPA–Educational Policy and Leadership Concentration is accredited by two of the country’s leading organizations in the accreditation of undergraduate and graduate degrees. Both the NASPAA (National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration) and the TEAC (Teacher Education Accreditation Council) share our vision for graduate public administration education. These accrediting bodies ensure that our instruction and curriculum are aligned with New Jersey Professional Standards for School Leaders, thereby providing the best practices and most effective graduate experience for aspiring administrators.

NASPAA
The National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA) was founded in 1970 and is a membership organization made up of university and college programs in public affairs, public policy, public administration, and nonprofit management.

The NASPAA currently accredits 253 programs across the country and seeks to promote excellence in public service education. Learn more about NASPAA here.

TEAC

The Teacher Education Accreditation Council (TEAC) was created in 1997 and is one of the country’s preeminent organizations in accrediting graduate public administration degree programs. TEAC currently accredits 37 Master’s programs across the country.

However, TEAC has traditionally reserved accreditation for school leadership programs housed under schools of education, rather than public administration programs like Rutgers – Camden; a fact that makes the MPA–Educational Policy and Leadership Concentration all the more significant.
