Study Community Development in Camden Locally – Have an Impact Globally

Community development takes place at the intersection of increasingly complex globalized economic, political, legal, and social systems. Our interdisciplinary program brings together the perspectives of public policy, law, and the private sector.

An interdisciplinary program in Public Affairs and Administration, Business, and Law with a focus on social capital, social justice, and social entrepreneurship leading to a Ph.D. with significant applied skills and policy expertise.

This is where it all starts to create your career in academia, public service, nonprofit advocacy, public policy - centered on a commitment to making a difference in the world. Both international and domestic training in community development are available.

Rutgers-Camden has a unique offering of campus opportunities and resources including the
School of Law, Rutgers–Camden Technology Campus business incubator, Senator Walter Rand Institute for Public Affairs, Center for Strategic Urban and Community Leadership, affiliation with the LEAP Charter Schools, and top scholars and staff who are deeply focused on the issues of urban redevelopment, community development, immigration, international development, public health, entrepreneurship, and urban education.
