Students that are admitted to the IPSD program are first required to complete a year of course work. We place our students as a group in internships in north Camden. Our department is committed to working in partnership with the local community. Please see below the course requirements for the degree. During the first year, students are expected to complete a year-long internship with a not-for-profit organization in Camden. We have faculty and staff that will assist you in finding an immediate placement. In the second year, students serve for 2 years in the US Peace Corps, or for a full year, 12 months, should they decide not to go into the Peace Corps. Students will be required to write 6 reports based on a community development project as a requirement for the on-line IPSD 676 International Capstone Course. Students will work with the IPSD track coordinator to determine the timing of submitting the reports and how they should be written. In order to complete the degree, it is mandatory that students are in residence for a full year. Click here for IPSD degree requirements. (.pdf)
